Writer for Microsoft Topics

Hey Guys -

I know I've talked about the chance of writing on sites before. In fact, I've pushed it many times. For those that have responded, I've forwarded your names to editors on my team.

Now I am personally looking to get a few people added to our writer pool. The areas I'm looking to cover overlap with some of our other sites, but in this case, I'm specifically looking for a couple of people to write for Developer.com. If you are interested, please let me know. If you have any sharp people in your group that would be interested in writing, please pass this invitation along to them along with my contact information.

I've flexibility in what I'm looking for. Ultimately, I'd like to find 3 people who can contribute an article about once a week. The type and size of article can vary from a tip to a tutorial, and several articles could be written at once and submitted. The idea is to make this a regular gig. The person would get listed on the site as a contributing editor (or some such title) to Developer.com. This is a credential they should feel free to flaunt and point to on. We'll also pay $500 a month (basically $100 an article).

The writers would focus in a given area and would work with me to determine specific topics for tips and articles. These would not be 'news' items but rather itesm of interest to developers that are more specific to programming. The areas I'm considering (other areas would be entertained with the exception of Java, which I have covered):

(1) Microsoft Development - this can be articles hitting on C#, VB, C++, Silverlight, ASP.NET, and all the Microsoft general developer topics.
(2) Enterprise Development - This area would be a mix of Cloud development technologies (including storage stuff), Patterns & Practices, ALM, Project Managemetn and Architect topics, etc.  We'd want a good mix of 'what is' articles along with 'how to'. (again, this doesn't have to be, nor should it be, just Microsoft tech).
(3) Mobile / Browser - This is two different things put together, but that gives flexibility. Mobile can be concepts as well as how-to and doesn't have to center on Microsoft but can hit WP7, iPhone, iPad, Android, and more. Browser topics have the same flexibility.

Those are pretty wide topics. I might have a fourth slot to fill as well, but I've not pegged a topic for it (yet). The above topics round out a lot of what I need. If you can pass this along (but please don't post the site name publicly), that would be appreciated.

If you wanted to do something different, you could get a couple of people in your user group to volunteer to do one of the categories. Instead of them being paid, the money could go to your group. It is a nice way for them to support your group. They could still be listed on Developer.com as the author and their bio could include your user group name. They'd get the credit publicly for the articles, but your group would get the check.  Just a thought. (( I'm suggesting this, but I've not cleared it with our accounting people. If you are interested in this, I'd actually have to validate that we can do it.))
