Title: ASP.NET MVC 3 Overview

Abstract:

In this talk Aaron will go over what’s new in ASP.NET MVC 3 RC.  MVC 3 RC has several improvements including the new “Razor” view engine, new controls and helpers, built in JSON binding and easier validation.  MVC 3 RC also ships with better support for Dependency Injection.  You’ll see by example how these new features will help you build better ASP.NET MVC applications.  If there is time Aaron will also go into the new T4 template support that is now built in.

Bio:

Aaron King is an application architect specializing in enterprise web applications and very large databases.  He has helped several successful startups move to the software plus services model.  He currently works at WoundVision creating a brand new healthcare technology that will revolutionize wound care.  It’s a hardware solution directly connected to the cloud.  It’s a combination of medical record management, imaging and business intelligence with a SQL Azure backend.  Aaron is also a community leader and active in Indy GiveCamp, IndyNDA, Indy PASS and Indy Tech Fest.

Programming is not only my profession but also my hobby and integrated into my lifestyle. I think that computers and technology help me lead a more fulfilling life and make best use of my time. My family, friends, and co-workers would call me a geek or nerd. I am proud of those titles. I have always been working with a website in various forms since 1996. I grew up with computers and technology. I don’t know what I would be like without that.
