We had 17 people attend this month's meeting. This month’s meeting was our discussion about Silverlight. Mark Davey presented this topic for us, Thanks Mark! Mark needs a rest, he’s been gracious enough to present for that last two months and we all really appreciate all his hard work.
I'd like to thank Atlas World Group for supplying our group with pizza and drinks! I know everyone really enjoyed it. For our next meeting I need someone to volunteer to provide the food, I don’t yet have a company to sponsor our meeting…if your company is interested please contact me.
As usual we gave away all kinds of free stuff at this meeting…I think everyone who attended the meeting took something home with them! We gave away Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, Microsoft Expression Web, T-Shirts, etc. I should be getting another shipment soon…so I’m sure I’ll have some more goodies for our next meeting.
Mark gave us an overview of Silverlight and left us with lots of links so that we can learn more about this exciting new technology on own. Here are the links to the sites/materials that he used as reference for his presentation:
Presentation
Space war game
DR Popper
Silverlight 1.0 Demos
Silverlight bookmarked links
I’ve uploaded some of the source code that Mark showed us to our website for you to download, it is available under our Resources section and then under Presentations & Source Code.
